A weird topic to talk abt in a canon forum.

My good friend owns a Pentax K10. He bought it in March this year and recently after i got my camera, we went to take pictures in chinatown.
After our shoot, his camera broke down. Apparently, his viewfinder information didn't work. When he sent it back to Shriro, they told him that it has never happen before and they would have to send it back to Japan for the repairs. Shriro didn't offer a loan set or an exchange for his spoiled camera. They told him that it will take abt 2 months to get it fixed.
I think it is only fair that they shld at least loan him one because 2 months is a long time to be without a camera. New one at that.
Does Canon offer loan cameras in the event the repairs takes more than 1 week? By the way, my friend never keeps his camera in the dry cab although he has one.
