the flower is Asystasia coromandeliana

Botanipaedia-in-skirt: a female person who seem to be an encyclopaedia in all matters botanical. hehe. and yes I know such a person, its amazing. as in identification of all living things, there are morpholigical (some of which requires a microscope) and genetic traits which distinguishes them into species and higher hierarchy of organisms. Such information are written up and published in peer-reviewed journals and must adhere to recognised codes of nomenclature. Animal names (scientific or latin names) are governed by the ICZN (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature).
