Maybe it does not look exactly the same because it was curled up when you took the shot.

hmmm.... from the loolk of it, and the surface... does not seems to be curled up leh....

wat u see from wikipedia is only certain breed...

the next nearest insect u can compare with is beetles but from the body, it is for sure not a beetle.
or the next nearest is stink bugs but from the body, it is for sure not one cause stink bug got a broad, wide-body.

it is easily identify by the segment of the body as the sound is being release from the gaps. Thats how I determined it is a hissing cockroach;D

pls correct me if i am wrong..
i still learning..
