do you guys prefer CS2 RAW plug-in or DPP RAW conversion? I seem to find DPP RAW sharpening much more artefact-free (and I'm a pixel peeper), so I do DPP RAW sharpening then Alt-P transfer to CS2.

opinions?

I also prefer to use DPP RAW conversion.  I don't alt-p because my DRAM limited so usually do everything 1 shot then i use CS2.

Color noise reduction bar = chrominance noise reduction function??  Embarrassed If that is what you mean, perhaps you are on v 2.2

QUOTE from Canon Europe.
Changes from Ver. 2.2 to Ver. 3.0
Changed Functions
Brought together as collective image adjustments in the tool palette in the main window. Added a noise reduction tab, and allowed noise reduction to be applied to individual images

Changes from Ver. 2.1 to Ver. 2.2
Added noise reduction function for JPEG images
The chrominance noise reduction function has been expanded for JPEG/TIFF images as well.

I just installed DPP 3.0 and see the NR tab. so for high ISO shots, do I use luminance or chrominance NR? I mean what's the difference.
