Are we allowed to take photos from the spectator stands? Some officials close their eyes if we use pns but are strict if we use slr

Okay, I am actually managing the photographers at YOG, from what I see...no point shooting unless you have 500mm lens. And all good spot are reserved for accredited photographers.

i thought some events like swimming should be fine with 300mm. Sianz.. got camera also no use.. cannot get a good spot to shoot. Y.O.G
Any Gymnastic event?
