I use to have when I was in air force....but in the end I only interested in the outside static display and the air show, so I end out not going anymore for years. To pay $20 to go in and squeeze...and see engines....humm Sleep

OMFG what have I done! I ended up renting a 300/2.8L IS without even knowing how heavy it weights. it now turns out to be around 2.5kg, WITHOUT the 7D body. Is it even possible to be hand held?

300 F2.8L?  respect

I saw someone using that in the last airshow without tripod support. Should be ok lah considering that the IS is good.

actually I wanted the 100-400 but they ran out, so they let me have the 300/2.8L IS with a 2× extender. plus a 7D body that would give me 960mm focal length, plus almost 50% cropping margin that's as good as having 1800mm  Group Wave

7d + lens would be as heavy as m203 or saw.  If you start to carry weight now, maybe no issue when u start using it.  giggling...

I will try to use my 200F2 with 7D as well. With 1.4X TC. That gives me 280F2.8 x 1.6 = 448mm only.... Sleep But 18MP can crop.
