Thanks.. Was quite 'tired' of reading reviews and comments so decided to go down the showroom to test it out myself.  Majority iso1000 n above - standard noise reduction was on.
Was on a weekday so i didn't have to 'fight' with anyone for it. i was not familiar with the control so took me some time to figure out and asked the sales staff occasionally.  No opportunity to test how good the tracking is but i believe it should be good enough.  Only briefly tested the AI servo... seems to be hunting quite hard.  Still deciding..5d2/7d...  Huh

I will go with 7D over 5D2 and get better lenses.

the 7D AI Servo is pretty damn impressive, although I have not tried the 5D to compare. when paired with the 300/2.8L IS it managed to lock AF on a bird flying away from me (and one is a sparrow hor!)

Not long ago..you seem quite unhappy with the fact that it is non full frame.  So this fella really have powerful AF to compensate for normal PQ.
