called up tt charlie...he said my laptop old model, HDD is the old SATA..not the newer type..difficult to find replacement..

Yah PATA HDD for notebook is no longer in production. Time to get a NAS and pray that your HDD will keep going till you get a new notebook.

PATA = Parallel ATA
SATA = Serial ATA
NAS = Network attached storage
