I managed to get myself invited to the Lim Chu Kang Road runway exercise over the weekend, it was a fantastic experience hearing and feeling the jets take off at such close quarters, you can feel the jet blast as the F-16s take off on full afterburn

Cool!..  Very Good    I have heard about it since army daze- the road used as runway for aircraft but always wonder how true was it.

BTW mikey, confirm 300mm is too long. where I was standing 80mm is the widest to barely get the whole aircraft in frame.

alright here comes the" Transformer", the E-2C Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning radar plane.

* click pix for full resolution *

the E-2C Hawkeye from 111 Sqn, with its 25m wings folded to facilitate getting in and out of tight places such as TAB's gates and aircraft carrier elevators.

Unfolding its wings and getting ready…

Good to Go!

Gunning down the AR at full throttle

Coming home… the last time an E-2C will take part in Ex. Torrent as they will soon be replaced by the Gulfstream G550.
