anyone knows why the hell the wireless transmitter grip thingy has a battery slot when it's a clip onto the base? yet Dpreview says it doesnt have additional battery slot. wtf?
i love the micro AF adjustments and the My Menu option... I quote: "The 'My Menu' feature on the EOS 5D Mark II allows you to produce a custom menu made up of any of the cameras menu options (including custom functions) which means that previously buried but useful options such as Mirror lockup can now be brought to a top level menu. The menu can even be arranged so that the options appear in the sequence you find most lo"
i also love the part about cam recognising the diff lenses uses and adjusts accordingly. maybe it can fix a bit of distortion and vignetting and lens characteristic problems in camera...
just a bit worried at the recognition of battery serial numbers, keep track of its usage, shots fired on that particular battery and how well can it still store charge... 3rd party cant use anymore? stupid

Yes...like the IDM3....the camera recognise the particular lens mounted and sdjust accordingly.

I think the preview mentioned that the batt in the wifi batt grip doesn't provide power to the camera. It's purely for powering the wifi grip itself.
I wonder how much the new batt costs if 3rd party solutions are truly out of the picture..
