For the 2 or 2N?

The last time many moons ago folks like Victor was already selling the 2 for 2.2, so I assume 2.2K is for the 2N?

One of the last ones I saw posted on CS was asking for a starting bid of 2.9K  Shocked

There are a few 1Ds MkIIs floating around as well.

No lah ... can't afford a Mk III unless got some kind of installment scheme. But even then, no news of a resolution of the AF problems as it was determined to be design related.

wait for 5D's replacement! I have a feeling that its gonna be a great deal.
If not, after that comes out, the price of the MkII will drop...

Price will always drop for bodies....you can wait forever. Why do you need a MKIIn?

Options, seeing that Mk2 bodies are not readily available at the moment. Not a definitive 'need'.

Went down to check out a 2nd hand shop's listing of a 'like new' MkII for 2.4. It was a frigging bait and switch as far as I can sense (PM me for shop's name). Showed me one for 2.75, without me bargaining, give straight out for 2.6 I said 'thanks' and walked out. It was the only 1D MKII in the shop, and interestingly, only one was listed on their website, not two.

SIGH. I should have bought yours when you had one for sale Victor.

I just managed to find a MkII at 2.35.  Someone else offered a MkIIN at 2.9, but I probabky can get i down to 2.8 (hopefully it's not sold yet).

Should i go for the MkII or the MkII N?

Is there that much of an improvement with the N as compared to the normal MkII?
