Lucky chance. I probably wouldn't even bother shooting if I didn't have a flash and a fast lens. Most of the time, colour balance and motion blur are the main reasons. I'd say for the first 3 portrait shots, it was a little too tight, and not much interaction with the crowd. Something like the last image, where they were playing scissors, but that shot, was too wide. Probably needs a little tighter. I'd say you'd have to do a better metering, try spot meter on their cheeks.

He just wanted to share a few shots taken ...

You seem to be quite near to the stage, so probably the flash on the cam may brighten up the actor/actresses.

Neighborhood shopping centre stage usually the lighting is quite bad so probably can just shoot for fun.

base on the shadow that u have in the photos, i believe u have used flash to help u achieve the photos..
