The original image was softer and had a more "hazy" look because of the lighting fall-off ....
But I liked the higher contrast and more defined clean lines ... hence the correction ....

the lighting is great... just that i feel that could be a little more softness as in the surroundings... not a hard studio backdrop...

Agreed. The background paper is gives the image a crude and hard feel despite the high key backlight.

I would compose with a tighter crop, maybe a square orientation cropping off Jess' lower body.

this is a nice shot... love the expression on the lady.. the guy is a little too posey though.. but nice lights
