Here is another pix to share of this legendary Kingfisher of S.E Asian Jungle on a thick "stick", with a small fresh water crab.

Was very fortunate to have seen it and most important of all to have shot it rather easily because one almost never see it so out in the open.

They are very elusive and they normally resides near deep forest streams which are normally fill with leeches and millions of mozzsies !!!!

The STock-billed is the largest Kingfisher here in SIngapore and one that is not so common these days.....I wonder why......   :|

Have not seen this fella for months now until taking a walk in a nature reserve yesterday.

Nit - Sky rather dull and distracting and that tree....wish it wasn't there either.
Bird is not as "sharp" as I would like it to be and detalis are rather lacking.
  :roll:

What I like is there are water droplets and its prey in its bill.
 :wink:

In terms of display and composition, I think this is the best so far.
Loving the rest of the series, very nicely done and well exposed.
Scary reach, 500 + 1.4x TC...

Some nitpicks would be about the oversharpening. >.<
