Hmmm... I did wedding for a few years before. But that was when I was using the Metz 60-CT4. No worries about not enough light. BUt things have changed. Using smaller flash, a ll bit or worry there.

Anyway, your statement sounds like you're a SUPERIOR being among mere mortals. Which is not very nice.

The Metz 60 series is amazing.  I still use the CT1 and CT4 regualrily together with the 580IIs.

Only thing is, why events?  There are do many models to shoot Smiley Smiley Smiley

those kinds means it will fire twice. that will result in people closing their eyes when the 2nd flash is fired.

yes it pre-flash, but no people does not close their eyes, the pre-flash is very fast, even my fishes don't notice.

the moment your flash does any angle besides direct aim, ETTL goes down the drain. you're already risking it.

there is some elements of truth in what you say, in certain strange set up the ETTL can be screwed, but most of the time when you meter a subject with the speedlites light the general areas of a subject, you are fine.
