Buffalo having sale:

DriveStation 1.0TB (Duo SATA hdd) with TurboUSB - $379. UP is $618.

ARGH...
Can configure as raid 1 right? What is TurboUSB?

i think i'll get the 500gb single piece for $199 better. coz eat less power that way. i think

yes, but then, your solution means 4 boxes, 4 power bricks, 4 connections .........

No idea but should be able to.

Turbo USB drives are being marketed as 60% faster than any others on the market.

Another marketing gimmick. I bet there's a usb to hdd chip with lots of read-ahead cache giving the so called turbo speed.

I have never experience high throughput with USB 2.0++ when doing small file operations.

At the IT show. But not sure which booth he got it from but i thought it should easy enough to locate it. The drive so far so good. Normal speed, quiet and not hot.

500gb for $150... WHEREEEEEEEEE!?!!?!?!?!!?!!?!??!?! I WANTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
