I am not attempting to draw traffic away from CG, but if some of you have been following the Mk II saga, there has been a lot of things happening in the international markets which have not and probably will not happen here.

Part of that saga includes very long and in-depth discussions, primarily on foreign forums. For the professional 1D MkIII user(s) here, or those still hoping and/or considering a 1D MkIII, it might be useful to know or just for pure interest.

I didn't see a rules n regs, or FAQ regarding posting links to other forums, but I might have missed it.

Meanwhile, here's the link:

Admin and mods, if posting the link is in any way counter-productive to CG, please accept my apologies in advance and delete this thread.

The Mk II I sold was great.  The Mk III I bought as a replacement is MUCH better.  To be honest I haven't given the AI focus a thourough test, but the few times that I have used it, I haven't noticed a problem.  I've udated the firmware ,but haven't yet had the mirror assembly replaced by Canon, so I can only imagine that it will get even better.
