Safe is indeed good most of the time, but those are not the photos that I will be satisfied with.
Yeah, but you were doing a commissioned job, primarily.
There are togs who can pull off the creative stuff while supplying the safe shots, but it takes weeks of advanced planning and logistics management to do something like that.

I wanna see!
eh but performance got lots of moving objects.
You'll be dissappointed. It's an old manual focus lens that was a cult king in it's hey-days. It would give any of the modern Ls a hard run for their money but the lens got fogged, banged up and generally, as a result, introduces some of the most wonderfully
subtle
spherical abberations that no modern lens can ever duplicate, but if I need it razor sharp, just close-down and it does that too. You can get one for about a hundred bucks these days.

I want a banged up CZ 50/1.4. the problem is finding a good adaptor that will do infinity. or even a 85/1.x

The good ones wil cost you big time - ard SGD300 fully manual.
I've used a mid-range one (fully manual) with a CZ/C/Y 28 f/2.8 on a 5D with awesome results.
Can't remember the brand off-hand, but I can easily search for it if you like.
Yeah, the most brilliant manual lens is entirely at the mercy of the adapter, and if you're willing to pay, and find a great one, it may not necessarily work that great with all your manual lenses, so seperate, dedicated adapters are recommended for each lens once you find an optimum match.

I guess its not too much about creativity, but the angle in which I am approaching the event.

Choy, do we have to commit to all 2 or 3 days of a certain festival. Or can help out as many days as possible? Whats the recommended focal?
