The NUS Arts Festival is on from 15 Feb to 23 Mar. I have arranged for members of Canongraphers to cover the events. Those interested to explore stage and dance photography, here is your chance!

Following is the Dance programs (there are others such as Concerts and Drama, I will post separately later).

Each event is limited to three photographers. Flash photography is NOT allowed. Interested photographers please reply below with the event you are interested in (specify event name and time).

You will need at least a fast zoom, or better still ultra-fast primes. The organisers ask that you allow them to use any of your photgraphs (i.e. those that can make it lah).

Hi Jedi!
How was the Hip-Hop Nite shoot?

I used to do stage and some dance photography vbefore (film days), and would love to give a few of these performances a shot, but I'm not sure about my schedules yet.

Would love to see some of your work.

CHEERS!

The shoot was okay.Didn't really had time to explore.Plus it was a paid shoot, so I kept to the safe shots for them.Didn't really put my creativity out. Smiley

KEWL Uncle Choy.

I have no idea which 'programme' you're referring to, but I would love to meet up nonetheless. Perhaps we could pit our two tele-zooms.  Cheesy

Safe is generally good whree performances are concerned. It's after you get your 'tan-chiak' shots that you go crazy!  Drooling...

I have the program booklet which I will scan so it gives some info on the individual events.

I also have scouted the venue (Hall and Theatre) and marked the suitable spots and rough focal range to use. but that info I cannot release pending approval from UCC.

Nah ... I have a 'secret weapon' lens that can do stuff that both your longkang tube and my razz-mah-tass white monstrosity can't do. I use it for pictorial work when I do not have to track moving subjects.

Safe is indeed good most of the time, but those are not the photos that I will be satisfied with. Smiley
