OOPS!

Pix showing up now.  Thanks Maichael.  Wink

WOW!

WOW!

WOW!

I'm speechless! But while the second is very graphic, I prefer the 3rd one more - it seems ... more harmonious overall.

before we go on further, allow me to express my delight in your shot #2.

the lines of light, accompanied by the stripes on the fella's shirt, really strike a very good pose

DM, refresh. i can see them

Great series. #2 & #3 reminds me of the shots regularly seen in National Geographic.

I still think #2 is better. The lines are really eye catching. Think about it, the light, his clothes, the floor...

Hi Everyone,

1) Let me apologise first ... I was reducing the size of the file on the site ... so was not showing for a while ...

2) #2 and #3 took a while of waiting ... between the sun going behind the clouds and people walking in the shade ... it was rather difficult to catch the right subject in the right place ....

3) Personally I was delighted when I caught #2 ... only had one chace before he was in the shadows ... but I felt that #3 had a dash of colour (although he is a bit small in the picture) to add to the flavor of the whole picture ...

Keep coming back ... I will post up more picture everyday ...
Looking forward to everyone's comments ....

When I was younger, I liked my Hi-Fi sharp, with deep, powerful low ends and very fast transients. Now, I would probably prefer a tube almpified set-up. #2 is genius for it's graphical and technical content, but I prefer #3 for it's sense of 'feel' of ... serenity? You are looking with your head, I was looking with my heart.

another thing I like about #3, is the relative size of the arches (and their geometrical alignment into the far background) against the human. it gives a sense of long history of the building vs the transient time a human spends in his life time.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the nice comments .... I have been lazy and have not done too much post-processing of the other pictures. I have a lot of people shots, but did not want to turn this into a potrait only thread ... I will try to post some of the landscape and "tourist" shots also.

This was a loosely organised tour, but not photography specific. I had a lot more time in Casablancca and Marakesch because I extended my stay at these cities ... Morocco is a very interesting place to visit ... French speaking muslim country ..... with the major cities stuck between traditional islamic values and trying to modernise ... But on a whole people there still retain a lot of their tradition islamic values.

Ok ... Finally had some time to do some processing work on my photos ....

Going to continue with some landscape shots ... please give me your comments ....

Landscape

#1 - Last Stop for Water

#2 - Sahara Desert

#3 - Village

#4 - Tondra Gorge

Keep your comments coming (good or bad ... doesn't not matter) Part of the learning experience ...

I will update the thread with more photos again ... in a few days ... hopefully ...

Cheers
