Looks very impressive and understated (if you don't scrutinize the taped up portion under the flash). And if the lens cap is changed to those flushed type, I think the overall visual impression will improve a notch or two. Almost like those classic rangefinder cameras or the Contax G series.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_g9.aspit does not remotely look like a G9... what does the lensmate do?

 Heh, add a wide angle adapter and a wide angle viewfinder on the hotshoe and it'll look like a rangefinder

i was a DSLR-wannabe then, so the adaptor and the wide-angle lens was almost permanently mounted on my G7 then....
