yah thats why i have the 17-70 n the 70-200 that i just got not too long ago. the owner is a 20D user, wedding photographer retired as got kids to be with. So with a 3 lens setup I feel that Im complete, but would love to get a 18-200 for the 30D. Was thinking of getting a Nikon 18-200 VR with a canon adaptor to play with. best of both worlds HAHAH

you might want to try the 18-200 sigma OS wihch is similar to the build done by nikon. that one at least has auto focus function Smiley

just note with a mega zoom range, do not expect images to be of excellent quality

17-40 is a very good value for money L zoom. beats the crap out of the 16-35 i rented last week. i dunno abt the mk II though. hopefully its tons better than mk i.
