We are proud to introduce to you the Picture of the Month Award...

For the next 12 months, the most astonishing, breathtaking or fitting image posted will be selected for printing on 8R/S8R and given to the photographer. This will be selected based on merits of the photo and not by the poster's reputation. Therefore, please feel free to post more, and keep your high resolution edited shot!

The winners will be contacted via PM and the winning shot will be mailed to the address given.

Q&A Session

Q: Do I need to use a Canon camera?
A: No. It's more of a photo taking competition. We at CanonGraphers do encourage people to shoot with Canon compacts, prosumers or digital SLRs but we strongly welcome participants from all brands. After all, it is the technique, the skill, and the chance that you manage to get that shot, why should we hinder your progress just because of brand?

Q: Where do we submit our photos?
A: As long as it is submitted in our Photo Gallery, it will be considered as submitted. The month of which your submission falls under will be determined by the date of posting, not of the date the image was taken.

Q: How do we get nominated?
A: People who feel that there is a good shot in the forum can feel free to PM me with the title "POTM Nomination" and include the link. The top 3 images of that month will be brought to attention at the end of month and one winner will be announced along with the 2 other honourable mentions.

Q: Who stands a chance of winning?
A: Anyone, as long as you are posting in CG forums and the image posted was taken by you.

Q: What do I do when I get notified of a win?
A: Only three things are required. Your high resolution edited photo, your name and your address.

Q: What happens after that?
A: The photo will be printed on high quality 8R or S8R paper, aka Fuji Crystal Archive, and then mailed to your address. You still retain all rights to the image and it will not be reproduced anywhere apart from this forum.

Q: What is the aim of this PoTM?
A: Simple, the goal is to encourage users to post, improve, and post again. This is a Canon User Group dedicated to building a family-like photography community. So shoot more, explore more, post more and enjoy your stay in CanonGraphers...
