impossible to sub 3k. that will kill off it's 40D

40D is sub $2K There is still a $1K gap...Canon is hitting back at D300....I think 5DMII will hit back at D3!

if really sub 3k then nikon is as good as dead for the prosumer full frame.

But D3 is above the 1DM3 which is a pro series...so D3 can do both DX and FX should be considered pro series. D3 is design to pull Pros from canon over to Nikon. Nikon is gaining market shares but is only from the D40 series level. For pro level...I think not much changes so far. Canon Pros are still sticking to Canon.

Yep, once the 7D is out 5D version 1 will be sub $2K....

It is rumoured that the 7D will be priced at US$1899

Higher MP count and more expensive...BTW, the 7D have 15 focusing pts.
