G9 In Japan

Just came back from Osaka went walk walk at Big Camera Store and saw the G9 there at 47200 Yen (S$602) No free gift, just a 32Mb card with the camera, cannot tahan
so bought it. Got a 8% rebate so final price is $554 !!!! I paid by credit card so its 8% rebate, pay by cash is 10% rebate. You can only choose either the 5% tax free cash rebate or the 8-10% points rebate which you can use for the next purchase. You can pay the first item first then get the points and use it to offset the price of your 2nd item, Sweet

I used the points to buy the UW casing WPDC21 original price at 18700 Yen (S$238) after using the points it become S$186.6 Cannot believe it....so dirt cheap G9 screen protective flim is S$8.80. Canon Original 0.75 Wide angle converter lens is 17800 Yen (S$227) before rebate. Total $$ for the G9 and U/W casing is $602 + $186.6 = $788.60
Enough damage done so didn't buy the 0.75 Wide angle converter lens on this trip, btw 0.75 is still not wide enough for my liking

Power adaptor is 120~240v so no problem, manual come in multi language too. Warranty is 1 year from Canon Japan lah if you pay like S$30 more you get extra 4 years in house warranty from Big Camera. I guess the other big outlet like Yodobashi and Sakura Camera should have competitive prices too

The basic course include Theory, test, 2 pool session held in the swimming pool which teaches you all the skill you will need under water. Then you will proceed to do 4 dives in the open sea, after that you will pass out will a basic open water cert. There are other skill which you can learn such as nite dive, deep dive, wreck dive, rescue diver etc. You dont have to e a good swimmer to do diving, as long as your can move and stay afloat can liao, dont have to swim fast
