BP, MF will not emit the beeping sound nor the solid green circle in your viewfinder ma. Unless the subject is coincidentally in focus range.

Her hands in focus but her face out of focus? as mentioned by canew, the lens was accidentally left in manual focus without me realising it.  as mitigation, i would like to say tat the lens did not belong to me. i was just holding it for someone.  |

as mentioned by canew, the lens was accidentally left in manual focus without me realising it. But then if you tried to focus, the lens wouldn't do anything, so you can tell that the lens was left in manual focus, right? |
