What improvements do I need to make for these pics. I'm having some problems with pics 4 & 5 even after tweaking the curves - the greens + yellows seem way off (it looks ok on my monitor but somehow turn sh*tty when uploaded) Huh

I would say:

#1. Use a tripod.
#2. Focus on the eyes.
#3. Shoot in RAW.
#4. Photoshop CS allows you to select the colour temperature.
#5. If that doesn't work, go into Levels or Curves and press Ctrl + 1 to select the Reds and reduce it.

Looks like lots of handshake from the images you have posted. Try using a tripod for macro it helps a lot and if you can use a remote trigger, reduces likely hood of shake even more. Use a flash to fill in the highlights as the the colours are slightly muted too. Nonetheless, the crops and subjects are very interesting. Keep shooting!  Cheesy

Thanks guys, your eyes are really sharp. I didn't use a tripod as it was inconvenient to bring overseas.

Will try tweaking the rgb curves again & see if it works.

Have a great New Year!!
