ya ya me not as good for DI
but i love the subtle/muted colours, not the saturated contrasty types that you offer

A portraint version of scenery in this case looks kind of weird or rather quite restricted.  A rather gloomy day. Your location/viewpoint is not ideal too.

Actually, if you did a horizontal for the second photo, the ''chair'', I feel that it would've been better, for you could show the red amongst the green.

surroundings meaning original picture already lei... unless u wan me to just include the left side, and crop out the right side's green
