but the number of non experienced ppl asking for paid shoot is much more overwhelming as compared to overseas where ppl are more than happy to be shot for free.
Model wannabes in other countries are "happy to be shot for free" when they are first starting out because they need to jump-start their portfolios, they have no experience and are trying to gain some, and are thankful that any talented photographer will give them great shots. That's how I got my fashion portfolio started. Obviously, if a model isn't inexperienced, she can't hope for a talented photographer to pay for her time. However, that is what is happening in Singapore, and that's why the market is so saturated. It's sad and gross.

the problem is that it takes 2 hands to clap and the attitude of some people just makes it alot worse.

its the school holidays. we gotta forgive them.
alot of them get away with murder. and the local hobbyists has to accept part of the responsibility..
This is a lame excuse, school holidays. However, caveat emptor, what can I say if idiots willingly doe out good money in chasing bad models?

The most i will do... ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY for local models... is buy lunch... that wil also depend on her attitude... at the end of the day... $50 is not much... neither is buying lunch for $5... but attitude counts... i have ever just stopped the shoot halfway thru because the model's atitude was more than unpleasant... TFCD especially... its a win win situation... when it becomes a win lose... esp when the model wants to get paid.. and get pictures too... fuggit....do i look like a lemon to u? If its a paid shoot.. she/he better deliever... will you pay some one to drive u ard they they dont have a licence? Well... many blokes in sg cant wait to throw they $$$ at so called SYTs who smile at their lens.... duh...

To date, the only thing the models got from me was their photos on a cd and that's all.
