OK, a little uncertain here (unusual for me) but the more I think about the more I am coming to a conclusion (more like the regular me) - help me get over the line here..

Initially I have been thinking (and half-heartedly looking) of getting a digital back for my 645AF (Mamiya is currently offering a free firmware upgrade for the AF which would make it and AFDII). Given that money is not unlimited I would have to get rid of my mint 4x5 kit (which is complete with 3 lenses, lots and lots of accessories if anyone is interested....).  But then the 1d MkIII comes along and soon to arrive 1ds MkIII and suddenly the options open up.

Essentially I want to go full frame (although there is enough in the 1dIII to keep that as a solid option), with much better image quality and colour/contrast rendition (which DIGIC 3 provides to a degree).

If you were me and had the options above what would you do.  (Yes I know there are a few other permutations of the above scenarios, but that's where I see the options at the moment...

The 4x5 is a Shen Hao, bought directly (and in person) from the distributor in Shanghai. Comes with 3 lenses, spare lens board, wide angle bellows, dark slides, autoloaders, film, etc...

If you mean mounting the mF digital back on the LF cam, that had certainly crossed my mind, but To accommodate the purashe of the digital back, the LF would have to be sold off (unfortuantely).
